First solids!

OK, the pediatrician said to wait until he was 5.5 - 6 months old but he was so fascinated when we were eating that we deicded to let him have a go at it. He had a little bit if rice cereal - really watered down - and got the idea after a few bites. He's naturally tidy (see picture of him wiping his face) so it was hard to get the "expected" messy baby picture. Of course, I managed... Now we just have to get him to take a bottle because he had so much fun with the spoon!

It's been too long...

Happy Valentine's Day! This picture was from this morning in his Valentine's Day outfit with the red socks the day care sent home with him. He had a doctor's appointment on the 4th and he was 18# 9 oz (100% still, but not as high off the charts) and 26.25 inches long (90%). He will be starting solids in a month or so. Reflecting on a year ago today, it's when we told my mom we were pregnant. Wow... what a year it's been!

Another First!

Jake rolled over! OK, I had him set up on his elbows so he could look in his mirror but he definately got the idea because he did it 3 times in a row! He couldn't quite make it when he was all the way down on his tummy (notsitting up on his elbows), but he was trying and it's just a matter of time before he gets it! Any time now. Wow - it goes so fast.

Jake's naming

Jake got his Hebrew name this weekend. He is named Chaim Lior. Chaim means "life" and Lior means "my light." He definately lit up the shul and everyone loved him - but who could not love this face?!
