This was the first encounter on the same level between our first kid (the furry one) and Jake. Serendipity hasn't been paticularly interactive but with Jake on the floor he was, apparently, more interesting. We're sure they will become fast friends.

This is the latest picture of our darling boy. We went to Babies R Us yesterday and this was the only pose we got. It was just too much excitement for the guy. We will go back and do more another time.

We had another doctor's appointment today to be circumcised. Not a happy boy. But he's up to 10 pounds (not bad for originally having feeding issues!) and so much bigger every day.

4 hours!

Last night Jake went 4 hours between feedings! He also spent those 4 hours (well, 3 since 1 of them was technically during the last feeding) in his bassinet! Yay! What a big boy! We're so proud!
Looking forward to a big week this week. Grammy is helping out and we hope to be getting formal pictures done as well as making some rounds. Also (much to Jake's dismay although he doesn't know it yet) the c-i-r-c-u-m-c-i-s-i-o-n is Wednesday. Shhhh....

What a cutie!!

Welcome to Jake's Bar and Grill!

Welcome to Jake's Bar and Grill! Jacob Stanton ("Jake") joined our family on Septeber 28th at 4:41 p.m. after 24 hours of labor. He weighed 8 pounds and 1 oz and was 20 inches long. He is perfect and we're so glad he's here! And Mommy's SO happy to notbe pregnant any more! This blog will allow all of our friends to keep up with Jake as he grows. I will post updates and pictures as often as possible.

Speaking of updates, Jake now weighs 8# 8 oz as of him being 10 days old. Great progress since we had feeding problems at first. The doctors say he is strong and healthy and handsome (as if we didn't know that!) and he's doing wonderfully. He lost his umbilical stump on Grammy's birthday - October 8. He's a prodigy! Now if only we could get him to sleep in his bassinet instead of on Mommy's tummy...
