Preppy Boy

Here's Jake at my swearing in in his little preppy outfit. He's going to be my preppy boy until he's old enough or strong enough to win a fight. He's SO cute! And this is after the penny loafers came off (too small! sad!).

Hanukah and update

Well, another doctor’s appointment and Jake’s a healthy boy! He weighs 15 lbs and 6 ounces and is 25 inches long (100th percentile in both cases). His head measures 16 inches (50th percentile). Basically, he’s a 4 month old. Which is what people usually guess when they meet him. Doctor Robin was also impressed with his neck strength (can hold his head up without jiggling), leg strength (can support his weight for short periods), and his position when put on his tummy (almost crawling position and immediately lifts his head). Basically, he’s wonderful – which we knew.

He was a great boy yesterday at my swearing in ceremony. He’s so mellow but awake and cute to meet everyone. More and more smiles every day and he’s learning more and more how to work his jungle gym toy. Looking forward to his first Hanukkah with the family this weekend!

Dragons and Knights

We just love this onesie (thanks, Auntie Heather) so I had to take pictures. He's getting SO big - we guess between 12.5 and 13 pounds now. We're in the size 2 diapers at 5 weeks! He'll be eating us out of house and home in no time.

This was the first encounter on the same level between our first kid (the furry one) and Jake. Serendipity hasn't been paticularly interactive but with Jake on the floor he was, apparently, more interesting. We're sure they will become fast friends.
